LEARNING COMMITMENT INTERVIEWS

Over the last few weeks we have been talking about our strengths in preparation for the Learning Commitment Interviews.  This week on the 26th & 27th of March, parents are invited to make an interview time and discuss their child's learning goals with their teacher.

LEARNING DETECTIVES

Today we had a visit from the 'Learning Detectives'.  Three senior children - Andre, Oli and Rowan came to introduce themselves to us.  They will be talking to us throughout the year to find out our opinion about school events.

USING THE INTERNET SAFELY

Today Constable Sommerfield came to see us again to talk about using the internet safely.  He told us to be careful when using the internet and to make sure an adult is around to help us.  The pamphlet below will be coming home with the children today.  Please take this opportunity to discuss the safe use of the internet at your house.

PERFORMING PLAYS

Today the 'Super Dogs' reading group performed a play to the class called 'Worm Fritters'.  Our Teacher Aide Kaye did a wonderful job helping us.

CULTURAL SWAP

Today we started Middle Team Cultural Swap.  This is when we move around to different classes in the Middle Team to learn music, drama, dance, art and languages.  Room 11 children are going to Miss Cassidy to learn about art for the next few weeks.  Mrs McCulley is teaching Room 10 music.  Today Adele (Arrochar's Mum) came along to play guitar and have a sing-a-long.

EVEN & ODD NUMBERS

We have been learning about even and odd numbers at maths time. Here is a fun song we listened to to help us remember.
