Arrochar told us all about Girl Guides. She encouraged the girls in our class to come along and find out how much fun it is being a Girl Guide. If you would like to know more, please ask Arrochar or see the website below:

NUMBER FUN!
During maths time last week, we worked with a group to make a number poster. On our poster we recorded how many ways we could make a number using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Have a look at our great work!
EXCITING NEWS FROM OUR LEARNING DETECTIVES
Our Learning Detectives came to tell us that we are having a special lunch on Friday. Our school has been chosen as one of the best at drinking our milk, so Fonterra are shouting us lunch! We might even get a visit from the Highlanders and the Crusaders. We are very excited!
SASHA STARS ON 'WHAT NOW'
Sasha's Learning Commitment goal is to create a post for the blog about her experience on What Now. Here it is:
Beep, beep, beep went Dad's cellphone to wake us all up at 6am. Today was the big day. We were off to What Now. After getting dressed and not waking everyone else in the house, we got in to the car and headed towards Princess Street to Whitebait Productions Studio. We were so excited. Mum and Dad left just after 7.20am and then the fun really began.
When we came in the TV was on and Looney Tunes was on. Ronnie said morning to all of us. Then it was off to the audience. Ronnie was being silly and said "Here is our full audience". Wrong side! Ronnie said it was a game. Here is our full audience! It was time for What Now to start. Wwwwwoooo! Gem said Ronnie believed in aliens. Silly Billy! Ronnie read a note and put a hat on. He looked funny. Toby was pulling a prank on Ronnie. Ronnie said that Toby looked cool with his 3 eyes. He looked awesome to me.
A man came and talked to Gem and he saw a meteor shower. I think that would be really cool. After that I got to play in 'The Wheel of Misfortune'. This is where you have to spin around 4 times and throw a balloon on the wheel. If you get it on the wheel you win a prize but not me. I ended up getting foamed as I missed the wheel. After the show we waited outside the studio with the rest of the audience to get autographs and photos from Gem, Adam and Ronnie.
We had a wonderful time at What Now and we would love to go back again one day.

On Friday we were very busy making things for our mums. We made teapot cards, bookmarks, fridge magnets and photo frames. I hope all the mothers had a lovely surprise on Sunday.
